I’m not sure if there is anything else like this for the Mac, so this app is kind of a no-brainer if you are interested in sending out bulk e-mails without the cost of paying for a monthly service. MaxBulk is fast, fully customizable and very easy to use. It handles both HTML and plain text emails. Importing is no problem using the mail-merge functionality, or just importing a CSV file. The SMTP features are pretty nice, too; you can specify multiple SMTP servers with timed email limits (e.g., 10 messages per minute, per server). That was actually my biggest selling point.
